Basically for the last few years I have been looking for a rugged phone to replace my (read 5 year old Audiovox CDM-9500) cellphone. My old phone was rugged, and was a big phone, this new GzOne is all that and then some. This is my first phone with a… camera, so I can’t comment on it. The V-cast depends on your geographical area. The ringer slection is minimal, there needs to be a better selection for us guys that just like a basic ring tone, so you have to download what you are looking for. It’s a good rugged phone for the guys that are in harsh enviroments, such as construction/
trucking/
industrial/
military. Starfleet and the crew of the Enterprize would be proud to have this communicator. I cannot comment on battery life yet…I just got it, but being a Long haul truck driver I will soon find out. There is no belt clip available yet, but you can modify an existing carry case to fit the lower part of the flip, giving the option of using a quick release belt clip. You will need to purchase the slip on case for the “Motorola V325″ by Verizon. Simply install the lower portion of the case and discard the upper part of the case (It doesn’t fit anyhow)and you have an instant quick relase case for your Casio GzOne Type-V. The lower portion of the case has a snug fit, so it won’t fall out. This is the best you can do until there is a dedicated case available for the phone. otherwise your stuck with the bulky case.
